DELIVERY POLICY
We endeavour to deliver all stock items on a next working day service from receipt of order.
Our standard delivery service is as follows:
All orders placed on a standard next working day service will be subject to a packing and carriage charge of £15 + VAT for UK mainland only (excluding Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland). All orders will need to be processed before 1pm to ensure the next day delivery. For bulkier items required to be delivered on a pallet, a cost of £70 will apply.
A timed service is available for non-palleted items, with delivery pre-midday at an increased cost of £25 + VAT. Pre-10am and Saturday services are also available at additional costs, but none of these are 100% guaranteed. We endeavour to deliver the goods within a two-hour window from your selected service I.e. pre-midday deliveries should be delivered between 10am and 12pm. Same day delivery services are not available.
All the above charges are based on delivery to mainland UK only (excluding Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland). Delivery charges and timescales will differ for other areas.
J&L Elevator Components Ltd will exert reasonable effort to meet delivery timescales but in no circumstances shall it be liable to compensate the customer for non-delivery or late delivery.
J&L have the right to charge a second delivery charge if a delivery failed due to incorrect information supplied by the customer.
If lost in transit, J&L Elevator Components Ltd will strive to supply a replacement part as fast as reasonably practicable. However, if the customer does not want a replacement due to lead time, we can offer a full refund.
If J&L Elevator Components Ltd are to consider any claim for loss or damage to the goods, you must notify us in writing within 48 hours of delivery for any shortage or damage, and within 7 days for loss.
For any claim made for damaged goods, the customer must sign for the goods as damaged on receipt. Claims not signed for as ‘damaged’ will be processed at our discretion.
RETURNS - SPARE PARTS
J&L Elevator Components Ltd warrants that products will comply with their specifications regarding manufacturing and materials, for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery.
To benefit from this warranty, you must report any problems or complaints to us as soon as possible, leastways within 14 working days of becoming aware of the issue. Products cannot be returned without prior communication to J&L Elevator Components Ltd.
In the event an incorrect part is supplied, you must notify us in writing as soon as possible following the delivery of goods. All claims are reviewed at the discretion of J&L.
If you identify that a part is faulty and needs replacing under warranty, you can request that we issue a replacement before us seeing/testing the faulty part. To go ahead with this, we will require a purchase order to cover the replacement cost. This will be invoiced until the return and assessment of the faulty part is complete. If found to have any manufacturing default, then a credit note will be issued against the invoice for the replacement part. If discovered that fault is from installation damage, then parts will be returned back to the customer.
All orders placed online without communication with J&L Elevator Components Ltd are done so at the customers own risk and cannot be returned. This also applies to any non-faulty parts that have been pre-programmed to meet lift specific requirements.
Any item returned to us without going through the correct returns process, or if no faults are found with a returned part, J&L Elevator Components Ltd will be entitled to invoice you in full for evaluation and testing fees.
